Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, I was lucky enough to have a city that is arguably the pinnacle of professional sports at my fingertips. As a result, I’ve always been drawn to the inherent strategy, teamwork, and unpredictable nature of sports.
Yet even with that exposure, I had no idea that it was a potential career option until my final year at Lafayette College and right before attending Buffalo Law School. Since then, I’ve had various roles in the legal, financial, and sports fields. From recording college football statistics for STATS LLC to turning down a player development internship opportunity with the Boston Red Sox due to financial reasons, to most recently landing an opportunity with the Milwaukee Bucks, the road has been a winding one.
The opportunity working with Milwaukee, however, gave me the chance to speak with young athletes, build relationships, and gain an even greater sense of how few people recognize they’re more than just their profession. Those relationships provided the motivation for the Next and the opportunity to head another direction in that winding road.
