Personal Relationships: Jahmai’s family is extremely supportive through the tough times. Broke his foot between sophomore and junior season, but had full support of his family. Mentally struggled with recovery until one day fishing with his family to clear his mind post-injury before rehab started. When asked, he said “I think I only caught one (fish), but my sister and mother were coming up to two or three. They always reminded me to keep things in perspective. It's okay to be frustrated with my circumstances – injuries, bad games, social media – but remember that I am extremely blessed.”

Key Quote: Regarding his future Jahmai says his focus is “playing the game and having fun with it, but being a leader to the team that's behind me.”

Social Media: Posts are composed largely of support for other players and thanks to those supporting him. One grateful tweet reads,  “Thanks for giving so much time from your families to coach us. Toughest coaches ever but just want tough players with no big heads! Will always be thankful for all of u.”

Off-the-Court Production: In March 2019, during Spring Break with his family, he volunteered with We Feed the Hungry and the Skid Row community in Los Angeles.
