Personal Relationships: Kaden’s mom, DeLena, a single mother, plays a huge role in his life and has set an example of how to make it through obstacles. Her pride for him shines through her words saying, "It's like winning the lottery, like literally, it could not have been a better kid.”  When asked who has been his life's inspiration, he didn't hesitate in saying his mom citing how she's "gone through so much and she'd always been there, always been his number one supporter no matter what she's going through."

Key Quote: Giving praise to his current team, Kaden says “a lot of the coaches here have helped shape the player I am from just being, 'Oh, he's tall and can play basketball' to 'wow, he is more of one of those elite guys." When speaking about his future home at Gonzaga, Perry said "It's a team, but it's a family, as well. And everyone seems to have a really close connection. That's really exciting."

Social Media: Posts are solely composed of moments on the court and with his family.  Captioned alongside a picture of his brother and mother, he wrote: "Family above all, love supporting my mom through her journey Fighting GBS.”

Off-the-Court: Kaden has also had to develop quickly off-the-court. In the middle of his freshman season, Kaden's mother was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He and his brother, Kyren, give their mother the help she needs before and after school. Says Kaden, "It went from me waking up and my mom making me breakfast to me being, ‘wow, I need to help make food for mom. Help take care of my mom. Help feed her. It's made me realize that some things you just have to jump up at.”
