Hometown: Pembroke, ON

Personal Relationships: Mason’s father, Dale played three seasons in professional hockey in Finland, and eleven in Switzerland before becoming the franchise owner and head coach of a CCHL team. Being around hockey so much while his father played in Europe, Mason’s father saw his son’s love of the game early. Even while improving his skill set, there’s always been a focus on fun with Dale even saying “if he doesn’t want to play, then he doesn’t want to play…it’s never been trying to get him to do this or that. It’s really about trying to guide him.”

Key Quote: Mimicking his father’s words to him, Mason believes that everyone should “always have a positive attitude, do everything with a purpose, and make your life the most fun it can be.”

Social Media: Limited social media presence. Only photos posted are pictures with his teammates on the ice.

Off-the-Ice: There’s always been an importance promoted by his parents for Mason to maintain his independence and individuality as he makes his journey through life and hockey.
